چکیده

Chrysanthemi Flos ‘Hangbaiju’ (HBJ) is a common Chinese medicinal material with the same origin as and edible cognate plant in China, whose quality seriously affected by place of origin. In this study, four stable isotope ratios (δ15N, δ2H, δ13C, δ18O) 44 elements were detected analyzed 191 HBJ flower samples from six locations China to trace HBJ. An ANOVA analysis δ15N, δ18O values, well milti-elements, showed that there significant differences among places Partial least squares discriminant (PLSDA) one-class partial (OPLS-DA) models established these locations. The results classification effect PLSDA model poor; however, OPLS-DA can distinguish between products national geographic (Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, China) other origins, which Ni, Mo, Cu, Ce (VIP > 1) contribute most classification. Therefore, study provides new method for tracing origins HBJ, great significance protection labeling products.

Stable isotope analysis of white paints and likelihood ratios.

Architectural paints are commonly found as trace evidence at scenes of crime. Currently the most widely used technique for the analysis of architectural paints is Fourier Transformed Infra-Red Spectroscopy (FTIR). There are, however, limitations to the forensic analysis of white paints, and the ability to discriminate between samples. Isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) has been investigated...

Stable isotope ratios and forensic analysis of microorganisms.

In the aftermath of the anthrax letters of 2001, researchers have been exploring various analytical signatures for the purpose of characterizing the production environment of microorganisms. One such signature is stable isotope ratios, which in heterotrophs, are a function of nutrient and water sources. Here we discuss the use of stable isotope ratios in microbial forensics, using as a database...

The use of δ(2)H and δ(18)O isotopic analyses combined with chemometrics as a traceability tool for the geographical origin of bell peppers.

Two approaches were investigated to discriminate between bell peppers of different geographic origins. Firstly, δ(18)O fruit water and corresponding source water were analyzed and correlated to the regional GNIP (Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation) values. The water and GNIP data showed good correlation with the pepper data, with constant isotope fractionation of about -4. Secondly, co...

Fingerprint analysis of polysaccharides from different Ganoderma by HPLC combined with chemometrics methods.

A fingerprint analysis method has been developed for characterization and discrimination of polysaccharides from different Ganoderma by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with chemometrics means. The polysaccharides were extracted under ultrasonic-assisted condition, and then partly hydrolyzed with trifluoroacetic acid. Monosaccharides and oligosaccharides in the hydrolyzates...
